I have refined my pottery forms and have been gradually taking a form that works very well and adding another dimension with texture. I turned my spoonrests into something extra interesting by changing up the texture.
My unity candles are simple and elegant, but I have been toying with the idea of adding in some texture. I had purchased a flower form a while back and added on some texture as I was finishing a pillar candle holder.

What do you think? I will need to go back in and refine it. Do you think it takes away from the form or enhances it? Imagine it on a finished piece.
Wonderful post! I really like the candle holder with the embellishment on it. Can't wait to see it finish. Post a photo of it some we can see it. The spoon rest is visually interesting, as well. Better than a boring old plain one.
